Using stretch to make Bracelets
One of the most common materials used in making bracelets is what is called stretch . As the name indicates the plastic type material 'stretches' allowing you to make a bracelet to the desired size of your wrist. You stretch the bracelet over your hand which is wider than your wrist and the bracelet fits snuggly on your wrist.
You start by putting the beads on the stretch generally allowing about 50 - 60 cm of length. When you have placed the beads to your desired length you tie a firm knot in the stretch ( You can be very firm in tying the knot!)
If preferred you can add a tiny drop of nail polish or supa glue to the knot to provide a stronger bond. Tuck the knot in to the last bead so it doesn't show.
